KIA Memorial Roadmarch - The biggest Veteran event in WNY!
The K.I.A. Memorial RoadmarchTM (or “KMR”) is a 5 Mile (approx) ruck march through Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, NY.
Participants will march, run, walk or crawl approximately 5 miles either as an Individual or Team Member while carrying rucks (backpacks) filled with non-perishable goods (or choose to not carry and donate before the Roadmarch). We just ask that you bring a minimum of 30 lbs to donate!
The Roadmarch is open to all – current / retired military, first responders, civilians- EVERYONE!
** If you can’t carry the weight and just want to walk we ask that you register, join us and donate the minimum of 30 lbs of food at the beginning, no need to carry that weight, just have fun!

WINS THE KMR BAT CUP!
When you register for any of the divisions being offered, you will be asked if you would like to JOIN or CREATE a team. If someone has already created the team, simply select the team name you wish to join from the dropdown list. If you are the first team member to register, come up with a clever and fun name to get things started!
Then if you have the biggest team to finish the KMR, YOUR TEAM will WIN the KMR BAT (Big ass trophy) CUP! Each year the KMR BAT CUP will have the Team name inscribed on it of the previous year's winner. Your team will actually get to take home a replica smaller version to keep!! The question is, will you DOMINATE each year and have the biggest team name all over it?
KMR & Fire/Police Challenge
This is where it gets competitive! You walk the same route but we’ve added four Drill Sergeant Inspired Challenges!
NEW FOR 2024:
This year all challenge participants, whether you are competing as an individual or part of a team, will each carry at least the minimum 30 pounds and complete all 4 challenges. If you decide to create a team with 4 (or more) team members, you will automatically be entered in our Squad Challenge. The first four members of your team to complete the four individual challenges and cross the finish line wins the KMR Squad trophy… and bragging rights.
Individual Challenge Participants:
The top individual challenge participant (not part of a team) to complete the four individual challenges and cross the finish line wins the individual challenge trophy… and bragging rights!
Open to EVERYONE! Just sign up for the KMR Individual Challenge or Fire/Police Individual Challenge. As explained above, you will have the option to join an existing team or come up with your own team of 4 or more participants. Remember that you must have at least 4 members under one team name to be eligible to win the KMR Squad trophy!
